DISCLAIMER: Our cake decorators will style your personalised message using their creative judgement to suit the length of the message and shape of the heart cake. Capital letters are quite large and typically used only for very short messages. Most names and longer messages will appear in lowercase to ensure the best visual result.
Our experience with cupcake queens was not a positive one unfortunately. To start, the website delivery option wasn’t working- for addresses that we’ve had delivered to before and were approved prior to ordering. After contacting their IG team, 5 hours later we could finally order and opted for pickup as we had a lot to do and didn’t trust the reliability of the delivery. As we had to make several attempts to try deliver, the 7th cake I added to basket I forgot to add the lettering. My mistake, which I even mentioned to the social media team who had said they would be on hand to help if needed. Despite being left on seen, I’d assumed that if there had been any issues adding the lettering that because I had mentioned it twice, they may have checked.
Sadly upon arrival, my friend was greeted with a staff member with an attitude. That same staff member subsequently called me demanding I send ‘screenshot proof’ that I had mentioned it to the social media team as ‘that’s not the typical way to order’ - yes love I know, your site wasn’t working.
HQ proceed to send me a ChatGPT apology, feigning care for my situation, and their solution? ‘Come back tomorrow for the letters and you can put them on yourself :)’
My friends thought I was joking when I told them.
I paid the price for an error on my end: $90, over 2 days to order a cake and 2 visits in store to be greeted by an unfriendly staff member.
But for the cupcake queens, despite website issues, slow responses and a rude staff member- they ensured they would not be left out of pocket or inconvenienced in anyway. I have worked in F&B customer service for over 8 years and was truly so disappointed in the service I received. Particularly as this business specialises in events, I would avoid. Unless you would like to make a stressful event even more stressful.
